This may be the greatest herd bull prospect ever produced at AJC Angus. He was named Reserve Junior Bull Calf Champion at the 2002 Iowa Angus Preview Show. He was also second in class at the 2002 National Junior Angus Show held in Milwaukee, WI. "40L" and his dam were shown very successfully this past summer as a cow-calf pair in the AJC showstring.
His dam is sired by GDA Universe 726G, who has proved over and over that he can do it all-a great breeding bull, carcass bull, and show bull. In addition to his long list of successes, he sired out Breeders Best Six Head at the 2001 Iowa State Fair and the $85,000 Carload of Heifers in the 2002 NW Foundation Female Sale. He most recently sired the Grand Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Bull at the 2002 Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, Ontario and two class winners at the Canadian Western Ag-Yearling Champion Bull at the Farmfair International in Edmonton, Alberta.
His dam, Sir Wms Eulima Elba 985E, was selected in the 2000 Sir Wms Generation Next Sale at $8500. As a calf, she was a class winner and division champion at several major shows along the east coast - New York State Fair, the Big E and Dutchess Fair. She was also named the Senior Champion Female at the 2001 South Dakota State Fair.
Two full sisters to the dam are featured at Double G Cattle Co., Lenox, IA and Husz Bros., Carson, IA. The Double G Heifer stood 2nd in class in class at the 2002 Nebraska State Fair. His grandam, GDA Eulima Elba 585E, and her '98 Heifer Calf, were selected Grand Champion Cow Calf Pair at 5 consecutive shows. Full sisters to "585E" sold for $6000, $4000 and $2800. His sire, SAF Fame, was the high indexing calf in the '93 Sydenstricker calf crop rings, show rings, bull tests and pastures around the world.
Actual Yearling Scrotal: 38.00. Yearling Fame Score: 6.7. A deep ribbed, strong topped, athletic herd bull prospect that has already been DNA Tested.
