The OPEN SHOW is open to PUREBRED SIMMENTAL
registered with the American Simmental Association and/or the Canadian
Simmental Association. They can show in the following
classifications: Open Female Show, Open Bull Show, Open Cow/Calf
Pair class, and all Group Classes. All animals must be purebreds in
both Cow/Calf Pair and Group Classes. The JUNIOR HEIFER SHOW is open to PUREBRED SIMMENTAL registered with the American Simmental Association and/or the Canadian Simmental Association. They can show in the following classifications: Open Female Show, Open Bull Show, Open Cow/Calf Pair class, and all Group Classes. All animals must be purebreds in both Cow/Calf Pair and Group Classes. The JUNIOR PERCENTAGE HEIFER SHOW is open to 50% - 87% blood percentage Females ONLY registered with the American Simmental Association and/or the Canadian Simmental Association. They can show in the following classification: Junior Percentage Heifer Show. The JUNIOR STEER SHOW is open to any Simmental steer that will pass through the sifting committee. Registration Certificate not required to show. It is required to qualify for Jr. Show double premium. Please complete the appropriate entry form for individual Bull, Cow/Calf, Female, Group and Steer classes. A copy of the entry’s Registration Certificate MUST BE INCLUDED with the entry form. Exhibitors MUST HAVE the ORIGINAL Registration Certificate on each animal over nine (9) months (10-09-06) for inspections at the show. Herd Handler forms will only be accepted for bulls and females under nine (9) months (10-08-06) of age on show day. All bulls fourteen (14) months (5-09-06) and older must have a certificate of VIABLE SEMEN from a licensed Veterinarian, recognized technician or a certified semen collection facility. Any animal not having a legible tattoo or firebrand number is ineligible and will be barred from showing. All cattle will be weighed and measured before the show. This information will be announced as the cattle enter the show ring. All cattle will be measured at check in on Monday July 9th at 4:00 p.m. All cattle will be weighed before entering the show ring on Sunday July 15th with the weight listed on the exhibitor number. JUNIOR SHOW CATTLE have to be registered in Junior’s, Family’s, Farm’s or Partnership’s Name. The Junior exhibitor must be an authorized representative of the family, farm or partnership membership. ONLY JUNIOR, 4-H, FFA OR AMERICAN JUNIOR SIMMENTAL MEMBERS who have NOT passed their 21st BIRTHDAY on or before January 1, 2008 may exhibit animals in the Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes Junior Heifer, Cow/Calf pair and Steer Show. All Junior Show Cattle exhibited must have be recorded or registered in the Junior’s name, family, farm, or partnership, before the June 16, 2008 entry date. All Junior Show Cattle must be exhibited by the youth in whose name the entry is made except in the case of more than one entry per class, in which case a bonafide junior must exhibit the heifer. Junior Show Exhibitor Substitution: the
substitute exhibitor must be a) immediate family of the previous exhibitor and
b) an authorized representative of the registered owner of the animal. |
